Install
Open the DMG, drag Stenografista to your Applications folder, then launch it. You'll see a new icon in your menu bar.
Launch
Open Stenografista from the Applications folder. A small icon appears in your menu bar — this is where you'll control the app. On first launch, macOS will ask for the permissions below.
Grant Microphone access
macOS will prompt you automatically on first launch. Click Allow — this lets Stenografista detect when calls start and record your microphone.
Grant Audio Capture
A second prompt will appear right after. Click Allow — this lets Stenografista hear the other person's voice.
Pick a summary model (optional)
Click the menu bar icon and choose your preferred AI model. The default runs comfortably on any Apple Silicon Mac with 8 GB RAM. Larger models produce more detailed summaries if you have the RAM.
